Cookies policy
Last updated: 2026-06-09 — Compliant with Spanish LSSI-CE Art 22 + GDPR EU 2016/679 + UK PECR (if UK users).
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on the user's device. Their use is governed by Art 22 of Spanish Act 34/2002 (LSSI-CE), GDPR, and UK PECR.
2. Cookies used on this site
This site does not use first-party tracking or advertising cookies.
Storage technologies in use:
- Cookieless analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics): anonymous aggregated data, no cookies, no persistent identifiers. No prior consent required under the AEPD 2023 guidance.
- Strictly necessary cookies / storage (if any):
localStoragefor language preference — exempt under Art 22.2 LSSI-CE.
3. Third-party cookies (affiliates)
This site contains affiliate links (identified as such on the pages that carry them). This site does not set those cookies: when you click an affiliate link and navigate to the destination site (Amazon), it is the third party that may set attribution cookies on its own domain, after the click, under its own cookie policy:
- Amazon Associates: purchase-attribution cookies (amazon.* domains).
Managing those cookies is up to the destination site; you can configure or reject them there or from your browser settings. Other outbound links point to official public-health sources (CDC, WHO, embassy pages), which set no cookies via this site either.
4. Why is there no cookie banner?
This site sets no first-party tracking or advertising cookies and its analytics are cookieless, so there is no cookie requiring prior consent under Article 22 LSSI-CE and EU ePrivacy guidance — no consent banner is shown because there is nothing to consent to. Affiliate-site cookies, where they apply, are set on the destination domain after you click and are governed by that third party's consent mechanism. If cookies requiring consent are ever introduced on this site (for example, display advertising), this policy will be updated and a consent mechanism added before they are activated.
5. Disabling cookies
You can disable cookies in your browser settings (Chrome: chrome://settings/cookies; Firefox: about:preferences#privacy; Safari: Preferences → Privacy; Edge: edge://settings/privacy).
